Klitschko issues challenge to Haye

BERLIN - World International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has thrown down the gauntlet to World Boxing Association title-holder David Haye by insisting the British boxer face him in a unification bout. After Haye stopped John Ruiz earlier this month in the first defense of the WBA title he won last November, Klitschko, 34, says the champion must now fight him. Haye had pulled out of last June’s scheduled fight with a back injury. “David, I’m officially calling you out to fight me,” said Klitschko in a video. “You’ve bitched out on fighting both Klitschko brothers twice already ... You can’t run away from me forever and you need to follow through with this fight if you want to be respected.”
