Scaling a world record
Oh Eun-sun leaves base camp in an attempt to climb Annapurna (8,091 meters or 26,545 feet high) in Nepal, the last of the 14 “eight-thousanders,” or summits measuring over 8,000-meters above sea level, yesterday. Oh is expected to reach the peak on Sunday afternoon. If she does, she will be the first female to conquer the world’s 14 highest mountains. [YONHAP]
