Choo’s bat a lot hotter than his team
The Cleveland Indians’ Choo Shin-soo continued a hitting streak yesterday, making it five games in a row with two hits in each for the 28-year-old right fielder.Batting third in an away game against the Los Angeles Angels yesterday, Choo had two hits in four at-bats to raise his season average to .338.
Choo hit an inside pitch to center field for his first single in the top of the fourth inning. He followed up the effort by stealing second base, his fourth steal of the season. With his team leading 2-0 in the sixth inning, Choo added an infield single.
The Indians went on to lose the game 3-4, putting their record at nine wins and 11 losses this season.
