Afghanistan-bound
Korea formed a new Army unit yesterday, which will protect civilian aid workers from Korea going to Afghanistan later this year for reconstruction projects. The unit was named “Ashena,” which means friend or colleague in the northern province of Parwan. The 320-member unit will be dispatched in July accompanying about 100 reconstruction workers and 40 police officers. [YONHAP]
