Korea’s Lee sets new hurdle record

Lee Youn-kyung set a new Asian record in the women’s 100-meter hurdles event at the 39th National Track and Field Championships in Changwon, South Gyeongsang, on Wednesday.

On the fourth day of the tourney, Lee was clocked in at 13.03 seconds, breaking her previous Asian record of 13.23 seconds she set at the 2006 Doha Asian Games.

Yeom Go-eun set a new Korean record in the 5,000-meter event with a time of 15 minutes, 38.60 seconds on May 9.
