ⓒ check → being checked 그 사람들이 점검을 하는 것이 아니라, 점검을 받는 사람들이므로, 수동태의 형태로 바꾸어줌. 전치사 뒤이므로 동명사의 형태로 씀.
ⓓ But → 삭제 앞뒤가 대조적이기는 하나, “some… others…” 구조에서는 but과 같은 접속사를 쓰지 않음.

ⓒ Who am I? → Do you know who I am? “Who am I?” 는 “난 누구인가?” 라는 말로 자기가 누구인지에 대한 질문을 하는 것임. “내가 누군지(어떤 사람인지) 아느냐?”고 물을 때는 “Do you know who I am?”이라고 함.
ⓓ it → the incident 그 경비가 무엇을 보고했는지 확실하게 “그 사건”이라고 명시함.
