Tigers’ Choi leads the voting for All-Star game

For the third straight week, Kia Tigers first baseman Choi Hee-seop was named the top vote-getter for the 2010 KBO All-Star game.

According to the total votes collected from various Web sites and stadiums, Choi leads the rest of the league with 495,657 votes. The Lotte Giants’ designated hitter Hong Sung-heun is a close second, with 494,444 ballots.

The Giants players are currently the most popular with the fans, with Cho Jung-hoon, Kang Min-ho, Lee Dae-ho and Karim Garcia all earning top votes in their respective positions.

All-Star voting continues until July 11. This year’s All-Star game will be played in Daegu on July 24.
