Out on a limb
Two environmental activists, Choi Su-young, 39, and Lee Hwan-moon, 42, from Busan and Jinju, respectively, protest against President Lee Myung-bak’s four rivers project yesterday. The two members of the Korea Federation for Environmental Movement scrambled to the top of a 30-meter-high crane at the site of a dam under construction in South Gyeongsang with banners that read, “Stop four rivers project.”’ Environmental groups oppose the project, which they say is bad for the environment.
