Korean player Son inks contract extension with Hamburg

Son Heung-min, 18, has reached a three-year contract extension with the German club Hamburg FC. According to a report by the Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper, Son has agreed to terms with the club to stay on until the 2014 season.
Having signed a two-year deal with Hamburg in July of last year, Son played for a year on the youth team.
The versatile forward and winger has had the benefit of receiving tutelage from Dutch star Ruud van Nistelrooy and has emerged as one of Hamburg’s top scorers this preseason, notching a total of seven goals in six games.
