For women, discounts for eventsTo help female married immigrants, disabled women and single moms benefit from art and cultural performances, the city will offer a 50 percent discount on performance and exhibitions tickets for those groups, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced yesterday.
The city government yesterday signed agreements with five state-run cultural performance institutions to participate in the program: the National Theater, the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Seoul Arts Center, Chongdong Theater and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.
The discounts will begin in September.
Details and schedules of the specific eligible art and cultural performances organized by the five institutions will be available at women.seoul.go.kr.
The city estimates that more than 10,000 women will benefit from the discount program every year if it is successful.
