[NEW RELEASES] Miles Davis

테스트

It is not a universally loved album, nor is it typical Miles Davis music. But if you are a genuine jazz aficionado willing to have a unique listening experience, the 40th anniversary three-disc package “Bitches Brew Legacy Edition” is definitely worthwhile. Its jazz-fusion style that combines rock-influenced solos, electric piano and guitar, rumbling rhythms and masterful improvisations is mind-blowing. The legendary trumpeter had been striving for new sounds before the release in 1970 of the original album, which was his first gold record.

The package contains the original album on two CDs with rare bonus audio material and a DVD of a previously unreleased Copenhagen performance from 1969. Also, two newly discovered versions of “Spanish Key” and “John McLaughlin” have been issued here for the first time. The title track “Bitches Brew” is an incredible experiment with Davis’ innovative and psychedelic trumpet playing. “Miles Runs the Voodoo Down” impresses with its funky yet dark bass, trumpet and saxophone sound.
