‘Terminator’ comes to Korea
Arnold Schwarzenegger, the governor of California and star of the “Terminator” film series, came to Korea on Sept. 14 on the invitation of Gyeonggi Governor Kim Moon-soo. Schwarzenegger went straight to Hwaseong Fortress in Gyeonggi after arriving at Seoul Air Base at 3:30 p.m. to sign a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation between the two regions by increasing technology exchanges, investment and trade. Schwarzenegger expressed hope that Korea will become California’s No.1 trading partner in the future. Currently, it is California’s fifth largest trading partner. [NEWSIS]
영화 ‘터미네이터’의 주연 배우인 아놀드 슈왈제네거 미국 캘리포니아 주지사가 9월14일 김문수 경기지사의 초청으로 방한했다. 슈왈제네거 주지사는 이날 오후 3시30분 서울공항에 도착한 뒤 곧바로 수원 화성행궁을 방문해 경기도와 캘리포니아주 양 지역간 과학기술 교류 증진, 투자와 무역 확대 등의 내용을 담은 협약서에 서명했다. 슈왈제네거 주지사는 한국이 장차 캘리포니아의 최대 교역 상대국이 되기를 희망한다고 밝혔다. 현재 한국은 캘리포니아주의 5위 교역 상대국이다. [뉴시스]
