[Sponsored Report] Cambridge releases practice tests for ESOL exam

Hundreds of thousands of candidates preparing for the Cambridge English exams each year can now benefit from new online practice tests.

Developed by experts at Cambridge University’s English language exams department, the first of the new practice tests target students taking the “advanced” (CAE) and “first” (FCE) Cambridge English exams.

They are the only authentic online practice tests on the market for Cambridge ESOL exams, helping students prepare by familiarizing them with the format of and types of questions in the real test.

Officials at the University of Cambridge who developed the practice tests believe that preparation is the key to exam success, said Sharon Harvey, assistant director or support products and services.

“When you consider the life-changing opportunities associated with passing a Cambridge English test, it’s essential that ambitious students are well prepared for exam day,” Harvey said. “Passing a Cambridge English test can make all the difference in getting a new job or securing a spot at a university, and it can help with an immigration application.”

Each online practice test features subject material that has been through the same quality control procedures as the content included in the live exams, and it is not available anywhere else. Each one includes a full practice test and a detailed score report with feedback on answers. The flexible approach allows students to practice in conditions similar to those of the computer-based test.

“We’ve designed the tests so that they are suitable for individuals and for use in the classroom,” Harvey said. “They can be used to help students with their learning and give them a clear idea of what to expect from the exam itself.”
