“Guitar Heaven”

Label: Sony Music

Genre: Rock

Who needs less of an introduction than guitar legend Santana?

In “Guitar Heaven,” the legend brings back some of the most popular songs of all time, adding his own color to them. The album also involves Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, Sound Garden’s Chris Cornell, and Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty.

The Cream’s classic track “Sunshine of Your Love” is accompanied on this album by Rob Thomas’ distinctly husky voice while Santana’s interpretation of the Beatles song “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” involves R&B vocalist India Arie.

Hiphop artist Nas lifts the album to another level with the song “Back in Black,” which combines rap with strong rock. Even those who are not fans of rock music or the guitar will be able to appreciate this album.

“Smoke on the Water,” an original Deep Purple tune, and one of the most popular rock songs in Korea is performed by Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix. “Guitar Heaven” is a great opportunity to appreciate Santana’s genius.
