Pak Se-ri to receive sportsmanship medal
Golfer Pak Se-ri will receive the Order of Sports Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for her achievements and contributions to the country’s sports, her agency said Thursday.“She will be awarded the Cheongryong [Blue Dragon] Medal, which is the most prestigious of five medals that can be bestowed on athletes and coaches,” said Sema Sports Marketing.
The 33-year-old, who made her United States LPGA debut in 1998 and won the top rookie award, has 25 tour wins, including five major championships, and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2007.
