Gabon head set to visit for 3 days

The president of the Gabonese Republic, Ali-Ben Bongo Ondimba, will visit Korea to discuss bilateral economic cooperation projects with President Lee Myung-bak and business leaders, the Blue House said yesterday.

President Bongo Ondimba will arrive Sunday for a three-day visit.

On Monday, the two leaders will have a summit to “discuss issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in energy and resources development as well as infrastructure construction, cultural exchanges and the sharing of Korea’s economic development experience,” the Blue House said.

Ondimba will visit the Songdo international free trade zone in Incheon and Samsung Electronics.

Gabon has the third largest oil reserves among sub-Saharan countries.
