Teacher fired after alleged sex with teen

A 35-year-old female teacher who is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student has been fired by the school.

A report by Gangseo Police Station yesterday said that the student and his middle-school contract teacher had sex in her car in an underground parking lot at Yeongdeungpo Station on Oct. 10.

The inappropriate relationship was uncovered when the students’ parents called the police on Saturday after discovering a text message sent by the teacher to their son.

The message insinuated that they had sex, saying “it was good.”

Police dropped the investigation because sexual intercourse between the two parties was consensual and money wasn’t involved.

In addition, no criminal law applies to this case.

“Under current law, it is illegal to have sexual relations with those under 13,” said a police agency source. “But the student is 15. As long the teacher’s husband does not charge her with adultery, she can’t be punished.”
