On a mission
Members of the Akh, Korea’s special forces, are greeted by United Arab Emirates soldiers when they arrived at Al Ain International Aiport yesterday. The dispatch of the Akh was made at the request of the UAE when the Gulf country made a $20 billion deal to purchase Korean nuclear power plants. The Akh, which means “brother,” will help train the UAE special forces. It is the first overseas dispatch of Korean soldiers to a non-conflict zone. [YONHAP]
