[Letters] Raising interest rates is not the best policyI read the Korea JoongAng Daily’s Jan. 8 editorial “The FTC’s wrong priority” with a full sense of responsibility as an Indian economist watching as a silent spectator in Seoul. After all, inflation control is the biggest challenge for any economy like Korea or India. Passion for price stability is welcomed without any sarcastic comments.
But to rein in inflation, your editorial is wrong to call interest rate hikes the best policy.
