Lee to talk issues on TV next week

In a 90-minute live TV appearance next week, President Lee Myung-bak will talk about his views on foreign affairs and security issues as well as his economic policy for this year, the Blue House said yesterday.

According to the presidential office, the program, “Dialogue with the President: the Republic of Korea in 2011,” will be aired live on the nation’s major TV networks on Tuesday.

Lee will appear with Chung Kwan-yong, an international relations professor at Hallym University, and Han Soo-jin, an anchorwoman for SBS network, to have in-depth discussions on the issues, especially Seoul’s relationship with Pyongyang. Diplomacy with the United States and China as well as the administration’s efforts to promote free trade agreements will also be discussed, the Blue House said.
