Officials clean the statue of King Sejong yesterday at Gwanghwamun Plaza in central Seoul. The cleaning operation, which ran from 1 to 6 p.m., was carried out for the first time since the statute’s installation one and a half years ago. The officials used soft cloths and a low-tension sprayer to prevent damage to the statue. [NEWSIS]
