[Letters] Strengthening copyright and patent protection

Reading your March 28 editorial, “A crackdown on Web piracy,” made me weep, knowing that widespread piracy on the Internet in Korea, which I would otherwise certify a crime-free nation, is common.
To root out this evil, any attempt is necessary but are not sufficient without business ethics.
Certainly, copyright and patent protection is the primary inducement for the creative work of any kind, which deserves top priority in today’s knowledge economy and tomorrow in Korea and elsewhere in the World.
