2011.5.6 Weekend Picks: KBO* LG Twins (15-12) at Samsung Lions (14-13)
* Daegu Baseball Stadium, Daegu
* Today, 6:30 p.m.
The last time the LG Twins and Samsung Lions met, the Lions were able to edge out the Twins for a series win. But that was April and now both teams face each other again having found their identities with the season in full swing.
The Twins have the league’s best offense with a .281 team batting average. Outfielder Park Yong-taek leads the league in five offensive categories.
Meanwhile, the Lions have pitched their way to wins with the best team ERA at 2.87. The bullpen is especially strong, with Kwon Hyuk shutting down opposing batters before handing the game off to closer Oh Seung-hwan, who shares the league lead in saves with nine.
