신데렐라와 마차
재투성이 아가씨 신데렐라를 왕자의 파티에 데려다 준 건 네 마리 말이 끄는 마차였다. 생쥐가 말로, 호박이 마차로 바뀌는 샤를 페로의 동화는 너무나 유명하다. 한 이동통신사 CF송으로 친숙한 ‘비비디 바비디 부(Bibidi babidi boo)’는 요정이 호박을 마차로 만들 때 외우던 주문이다. 1950년 나온 디즈니 애니메이션 ‘신데렐라’에서다. MGM이 45년 제작한 ‘야간교대조 신데렐라(Swing Shift Cinderella)’에선 호박이 마차 아닌 스테이션 왜건이 된다. 신데렐라는 가슴이 훤히 드러나는 이브닝 드레스 차림이다. 자정이 지나자 신데렐라는 허겁지겁 귀가해 야간근무를 하러 공장행 통근버스에 몸을 싣는다.내가 한 영작
