YG CEO expresses concern about Big Bang star
“I visited Daesung on Wednesday and told him that if I had been placed in the same situation it would have been hard for me to avoid it,” said Yang on the entertainment firm’s blog. “I know that the pain Daesung is going through is incomparable to the agony that the victim and his family are undergoing ... I honestly hope that accurate investigations will be carried out so that the weight Daesung is carrying can be eased.”
Daesung accidentally ran over a motorcyclist lying unconscious in a lane on the Yanghwa Bridge in western Seoul at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The motorcyclist had already been hit by an unknown driver. An autopsy of the man to determine if either Daesung or the unknown driver was the direct cause of his death took place on Wednesday and the result is expected next week.

양현석 “대성 2차 정신적 피해 걱정된다” 입장 발표
YG엔터테인먼트 수장 양현석이 '대성 교통사고'와 관련해 자신의 입장을 밝혔다.
양현석은 2일 오전 9시 YG공식 블로그를 통해 '가장 먼저 불의의 사고로 돌아가신 고인의 유가족 분들에게 깊은 조의를 표하며 삼가 고인의 명복을 간절히 빕니다'라고 말문을 열었다.
그는 "평소에도 주변의 나쁜 상황을 늘 지신의 탓으로 돌리는 대성이가 사고 후 가족들과 면담도 거부한 채 방안에 혼자 머물고 있다"라며 "어제 새벽에 대성이 머물고 있는 숙소에 찾아가 '만일 내가 너였더라도 그 상황을 피하기 힘들었을 것이다'라고 말했다'고 전했다.
이어 "대성이가 현재 겪고 있는 어려움은 유가족 고통에 비교할 바도 아니겠지만 제가 걱정하고 있는 부분은 대성이 겪게 될 2차 정신적 피해다"라며 "대성이는 2009년 매니저가 몰던 차량 운전석 옆자리서 목숨을 잃을 뻔한 대형 교통사고를 경험했다. 아직 그 충격이 가시지 않은 상황 속 사고라 걱정된다"고 설명했다.
끝으로 "하루 빨리 정확한 사건조사를 통해 대성이가 짊어진 무거운 짐을 조금이라도 덜어냈으면 한다"고 덧붙였다.
YG엔터테인먼트는 이번 사고로 2일 공개 예정이던 2NE1 신곡과 YG 온에어 방송 일정을 일주일 연기했다.
