With 144 players from 30 countries, the Korea Open international table tennis tournament got off to a successful start on Wednesday, but the highlight of the tournament comes on Sunday, when both the men’s and women’s semifinals and finals will be held.
Even though world class players from China and Europe aren’t participating in the event, top-ranked local players such as Joo Se-hyuk, Oh Sang-eun and Ryu Seung-min could be in the semis.
Kim Kyung-ah and Park Mi-young will look for their third straight women’s doubles title, while Seok Ha-jung and Yang Ha-eun will seek the women’s singles title.
