FC Seoul, which sits at sixth in the K-League table, will square off against the Pohang Steelers, who thrashed Daejeon Citizen FC 7-0 last week.
Seoul recently sold Uzbek international Server Djeparov to Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab with a transfer fee estimated to be $3 million, but the club still has strong foreign players like Montenegrin forward Dejan Damjanovic who has 11 goals in 16 games. He is the K-League’s second-leading goal scorer.
Pohang will fight back with Brazilian striker Mota and midfielder Hwang Jin-sung, who have combined to score 12 goals and add 10 assists this season.
Pohang barely leads the all-time series against Seoul with 46 wins, 43 draws and 41 losses.
