2011.7.22 Weekend Picks: Archery

If you’ve ever wanted to see some of the best archers perform their craft up close, this event is where you want to be.

World No. 1 Kim Woo-jin, who won two gold medals in the World Archery Championships in Turin, Italy, earlier this month, will compete in this domestic tournament.

The event started yesterday, but the final round of individual titles begins this weekend with the men up first on Saturday followed by the women on Sunday.

The group competition will be held on Monday.

A total of 482 domestic archers from 130 teams will participate, including former and current national team members.

The event will be a good preview for the London Olympics team selection in September.
