KTX trains have stopped in the middle of their journeys 36 times this year/ KTX 열차는 올 해에 운행도중 36회나 멈추었다/ due to a wide variety of causes,/ 아주 다양한 원인으로/ including derailment, delays, and malfunctions of motors, electricity and air conditioning./ 탈선, 지연을 포함해 모터, 전기 및 냉방장치 결함 등과 같은/

We believe that Korail must suspend its operations temporarily and thoroughly examine all trains./ 우리는 코레일이 KTX 운행을 잠정적으로 중단하고 모든 열차를 철저히 조사해야 한다고 믿는다/ The authorities should determine whether the accidents have resulted from the government’s rush to develop the high-tech train/ 당국은 사고가 첨단기술 열차를 개발하기위해 정부가 밀어붙였기 때문에 발생한 것은 아닌지 밝혀야 한다/ without a full consideration of any potential glitches,/ 발생할 수 있는 사고들을 완전히 고려하지 않은 채/ let alone proper scrutiny of potential gaps in the operations and maintenance systems./ 운영과 정비 시스템상의 잠재적인 문제를 적절히 조사하도록 해야 한다/ The Board of Audit and Inspection, which will reportedly begin auditing Korail soon,/ 보도에 따르면, 코레일에 대한 감사를 곧 시작할 것이라고 하는데, 감사원은 must pay special attention to that./ 이 문제에 특별한 관심을 가져야 한다/ The government must not invite another accident by leaving a faulty KTX system intact./ 정부는 KTX의 결함을 방치하여 또 다른 사고를 초래해서는 안 된다/
