A bronze statue of the nation’s first president, Syngman Rhee, was unveiled to the public in Jung District, central Seoul, by the Korea Freedom Federation yesterday. Present at the unveiling ceremony were KFF Chairman Park Chang-dal, National Assembly Speaker Park Hee-tae, former Prime Minister Lee Hong-koo, and U.S. Ambassador Kathleen Stephens. [YONHAP]
