Korea U. expels 3 medical studentsThree male students from a prestigious medical school will be expelled for sexually harassing a fellow female schoolmate, school officials said yesterday.
The school’s decision came after the three unidentified medical students at Korea University had been indicted on charges of molesting their female colleague while on a school trip to Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, in May.
Students who are expelled, the strongest disciplinary punishment under the school’s regulations, will not be allowed to apply for readmission, according to Korea University.
“Thorough discussions led us to decide that the strongest punishment is inevitable for the troubled students,” a school official said.
“We would not spare efforts to prevent the recurrence of such shameful incidents,” the official added.
