With the end of the KBO regular season just about a month away, teams are now playing revised schedules to make up for summer games canceled due to rain.
The Lions will try to secure their top position in the KBO standings, while the fifth-place Twins will give their best to earn the last ticket to the post-season.
The Lions are considered to have a strong bullpen, led by closer Oh Seung-hwan, who tops the league in saves. The team’s attack is powered by Choi Hyung-woo, the league’s top performer in home runs and slugging percentage.
The Twins have a strong pitching rotation that includes Park Hyun-joon, Benjamin Jukich and Radhames Liz, but the key will be whether field players can reduce their errors on defense. The Twins are the league’s second-worst team in errors behind the Busan Lotte Giants.
The Lions have a better head-to-head record this season with eight wins and six losses.
