Pohang bagged a tight 4-3 win when hosting Sangju in June but it should enjoy a walkover this weekend as the military team recently bid farewell to almost half of its 34-man roster. Sangju said goodbye to Kim Jung-woo, the K-league’s No. 2 scorer, and 14 other players as they finished their military service on Wednesday. It hasn’t won its last four games and is sitting in 14th place.
Meanwhile, second-placed Pohang is on a three-game winning streak, with Brazilian forward Mota leading the attack with 10 goals and eight assists in 23 games.
