Korea represented at Intl. Emmys
In the non-scripted entertainment category, the KBS comedy program “The Master Show,” starring comedian Kim Byung-man was chosen as one of four nominees. Also, actor Jang Hyuk was named one of the nominees for best performance by an actor for his role in KBS drama “The Slave Hunters” which aired last year.
This year, 40 works in 10 categories were chosen to compete for awards among 1,000 entries from 61 countries. Around 800 judges from 67 countries were involved in the judging process.
The winners will be announced on November 21 at the Hilton Hotel in New York.
The International Emmy Awards is an annual event to honor top television programs and actors from around the globe. It was founded in 1969 by the International Academy of Television Arts and Science.

‘추노’ 장혁·‘달인’ 김병만, 국제에미상 후보 올라 화제
KBS '추노'의 장혁과 '개그콘서트'의 '달인' 김병만이 올해 국제에미상 후보에 올랐다.
4일 CBS뉴스 등 외신에 따르면 국제에미상 측이 10개 부문에 걸쳐 40명의 후보자(작)를 발표했다.
국내에서는 2명이 이름을 올렸다. '추노'의 장혁은 남우주연상 후보 4명 중에 하나로 노미네이트됐다. '달인' 김병만은 비대본엔터테인먼트 부문에 당당히 포함됐다.
국제에미상은 미국의 방송 관계자 및 시청자에게 외국의 우수한 TV 프로그램을 접할 기회를 줄 목적으로, 미국TV예술과학아카데미가 매년 9~11월에 개최하는 시상식이다. 올해는 11월 6일 미국 뉴욕에서 열린다. 지난해에는 MBC 휴먼다큐 '사랑'이 다큐멘터리 부문상을 수상한 바 있다.
