K-pop bands to perform in Vegas

Three Korean pop bands and a solo singer - TVXQ, Beast, 4Minute and G.NA - are set to put on a K-pop concert in Las Vegas on Nov. 25, according to MGM Grand Hotel & Casino yesterday.
The concert, entitled “K-pop Masters,” will be held at the hotel’s Grand Garden Arena and is co-hosted by the hotel and Billboard Magazine. The singers and bands will showcase their hit songs.
“For the first time in history, the biggest stars in K-pop will make their way onto the legendary stage of the Grand Garden Arena ... Celebrity guests, surprise performances and a state-of-the-art sound system will provide an unforgettable event as K-pop makes history in the City of Entertainment,” a statement on the MGM Web site said. Tickets go on sale today and ticket prices range from $75 to $225. More information can be found at www.kpopmasters.com.
Meanwhile, the port city of Busan will host a Hallyu (Korean Wave) concert that will involve 10 teams of K-pop bands and singers including Big Bang, ShiNee, Cara, Miss A and Seven on Oct. 28 under the “2011 Hallyu Concert.” The concert will be aired in Korea on the SBS and KNN broadcasting stations. Broadcasters in select regions in Japan and the United States will also show the concert, according to the Tourism Promotion Division of the Busan Metropolitan City.

동방신기·비스트, 美 MGM그랜드서 K팝 공연
동방신기, 비스트, 샤이니, 포미닛, 지나가 다음 달 미국에서 K팝 합동 공연을 개최한다.
이들은 다음 달 25일(현지시간) 라스베이거스 MGM 그랜드 호텔(이하 MGM)의 '그랜드 가든 아레나'에서 '2011 빌보드 K팝 매스터스(Masters)'란 타이틀로 공연한다.
이 공연은 빌보드와 빌보드코리아가 MGM과 손잡고 개최하는 것으로 현지에 K팝 최고 스타를 소개하는 무대다. 참여 가수들은 각자의 히트곡을 선보일 예정이다.
MGM 홈페이지는 "유명한 출연진과 놀랄 만한 퍼포먼스, 예술적인 사운드 시스템을 기반으로 잊지 못할 K팝 공연이 될 것"이라며 "이 공연은 엔터테인먼트의 도시인 라스베이거스에서 역사를 만들 것이며 잊지 못할 K팝 이벤트가 될 것"이라고 소개했다.
공연 티켓은 현지시간 5일부터 판매가 시작되며 가격은 75-300달러(약 8만9천-약 35만8천원)다.
