Kintex readying for nation’s top tech show
The country’s largest electronics show will get under way at Kintex in Goyang City, Gyeonggi today and continue through Saturday, featuring state-of-the-art technologies by both local and foreign companies.The theme for the 42nd annual Korea Electronics Show, equivalent to the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas every year, is “convergence of hardware and software.”
A total of 800 companies including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Hynix Semiconductors, Merck Advanced Technologies and LG Display are participating.
The business-to-business trade show will feature new IT and electronics products including the world’s biggest 75-inch LED TV, the Galaxy S2 LTE and the world’s largest full LED 72-inch 3-D smart TV by LG.
The entry fee is 5,000 won ($4.29). There will be shuttle buses operating during the event from Seoul, Yongsan, Gangnam and Gasan Digital Complex stations to Kintex. For more information, visit www.kes.org.
