Many Koreans habitually down a few shots of soju with their evening meal to unwind after a hard day’s work. But one of their preferred ways of consuming the nation’s distilled liquor of choice is by mixing a few shots of soju into a glass of yellow beer, which is known as somaek in Korean (a contraction of the words for soju and beer). If you’re not confident about making a perfect somaek for your boss, learn the easy way with this interesting new app. Using an independent camera feature, it scans the empty beer glass on your table and informs you of the “golden ratio” of how much soju should be added.
