AustCham hosts annual biz awards

The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea has announced that it will hold its annual Business Awards next Thursday as part of efforts to highlight the friendship and economic partnership between Australia and Korea this year, which is the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Awards will be given for best service, best small- and mid-size enterprise, trade excellence and investment of the year, among others.
The awards will be given to six companies that are Korean, Australian and Australian-Korean that are selected from a list of 10 candidates: Barun Law, Samsung C&T, Incoaching, ComPacks, Botany, Macquaries Securities Korea, Pure Commerce, Blackmores, BeMode and Ingeus.
The event is the second of its kind hosted by AustCham, a foreign business lobby group comprising 112 corporate members and led by Chairman Jim Lim, who is also regional manager of Meat and Livestock Australia.
The event will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in central Seoul at 6:30 p.m.
