[Letters] North Koreans learn lessons in Singapore
I applaud the effort by Geoffrey See to arrange study programs for North Koreans in Singapore on Oct. 22 and 23. The Lion City represents a splendid half-way house for our neighbors to the north to adjust to the ways of the modern world. They will feel at home in a country that enjoys dominant one-party rule, a rubber-stamp parliament, former high-ranking military officials holding key government posts and a father-son leadership succession that is based on well-advertised family brilliance.John Burton, a Singapore admirer
