Diamond in the rough

An employee at a large discount store in Seoul arranges packs of hairtail fish, yesterday. The price of this popular silver-colored seafood has soared 52.3 percent on-year due to depleted hauls of 20 percent caused by the changing water temperature near Jeju Island and a drop in overseas imports. The fish is now referred to as “diamond” hairtail due to its expensive price. It was previously called “gold hairtail.” [NEWSIS]
