Ten months after assaulting driver, Jun Tae-su takes on new role

Actor Jun Tae-su will step back into the entertainment world roughly 10 months since he stopped acting after drunkenly assaulting a taxi driver.

The 27-year-old brother of actress Ha Ji-won (whose real name is Jun Hae-rim) will make his first come-back appearance in a music video of the singer ALi, who rose to fame on the reality singing show “Immortal Song 2.”
The actor will play the role of a smitten lover in the video to the track “Don’t Be So Provincial.”

Early this year, Jun had to cease acting in the drama “All My Love” after assaulting the driver. Since the scandal, the actor had not taken on any other roles.

The star’s agency, Wellmade StarM, told local media that Jun was “thrilled to be featured in ALi’s music clip” and that he was “repentant during the last 10 months he has spent reflecting on his mistake.” During his time off, Jun has advocated in support of Korea’s sovereignty claim over the Dokdo islets and has also spent time on volunteer projects.

“Jun is currently looking at his next career move in films and dramas. He will soon return as a changed person,” his agency added.

As well as having a movie star sister, Jun is known for his roles on the dramas “Sung Gyun Gwan Scandal” and “It’s OK, Daddy’s Daughter.”
