Jang Keun-suk launches YouTube channel

Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk has launched an official YouTube channel.

The actor officially launched his channel “Prince JKS” on the video sharing site on Dec. 13.

The star’s agency, Tree J Company, said, “Through the YouTube channel, Jang will be able to share his music videos, concert recordings, pictures and never-before-revealed, behind-the-scenes stories.”

A segment on the channel called “Psycho_j Studio” will take an in-depth look at various informal situations that take place behind the scenes of Jang’s official events.

“Everything the star does will be documented. It will be like watching Jang on CCTV,” Tree J said.

Meanwhile, Jang said the reason for the YouTube channel was “to communicate with fans all over the world.” The actor also said he was excited about and looking forward to sharing his everyday life with fans online.

A promotional video produced by Tree J Company predating the launch of the channel has been viewed more than 30,000 times, the company said.

In addition, on the first day of its launch, the channel accumulated 7,532 subscribers and more than 37,000 hits on the uploaded videos, the company said.

Although Jang made his debut in the entertainment industry as an actor, he also sings and holds concerts for fans. He featured in the drama “You Are Beautiful” in 2009 and since then has become known as “The Prince of Asia” among his fans.
