Kumho inks road construction deal in Cambodia worth $24M

Korean builder Kumho Construction & Engineering said yesterday that it has clinched a $24 million deal to repair a national road in Cambodia.

Under the deal with the Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Kumho Construction & Engineering will improve a 84.4-kilometer (52-mile) section of the road in northwestern Cambodia, the builder said.

The company said it will begin the project in January next year, with completion scheduled for April 2014.

Kumho Construction said it has won four contracts, including the latest one, in the Southeast Asian country since 2008, leading other Korean builders.
