A leader passes
Buddhist monks and followers witness the cremation of Venerable Jigwan, former head of the Jogye Order, Korea’s largest Buddhist sect, at the Haein Temple in Hapcheon, South Gyeongsang, yesterday. Venerable Jigwan, who passed away on Jan. 2, left lots of academic literature on Korean Buddhism, including a 12-volume Buddhism dictionary. By Song Bong-geun
