Actress Kim Yoojin becomes the new face of Lancôme
Actress Kim Yoojin, long hailed as a beauty among entertainers, has become the new face of the international cosmetics brand Lancôme.The Paris based brand announced in an official statement on Jan. 10 that it had chosen Kim as its representative.
Kang So-young, brand manager of Lancôme Korea said the actress was picked for her clean and beautiful features and her reputation as a beauty icon.
“Yoojin’s credibility and her enticing aura will reveal a new side of the star,” Kang said. “She will be portrayed as a sophisticated and elegant woman and as a spokesperson for inner and outer beauty. Yoojin is set to further enhance the brand’s image of ‘modern prestige.’”
Meanwhile the singer-turned actress expressed her excitement on Twitter about joining Hollywood actresses such as Emma Watson and Kate Winslet. “I’ve become the face of Lancome. For me the brand captures the essence of an intellectual beauty in a romantic film,” she said.
Yoojin made her debut as part of girl group S.E.S in 1997 and since then has become a versatile entertainer, appearing in various television programs and films. She has also written two books on the subject of beauty.
