Kia distributes gift certificates for traditional markets

Kia said its union and management decided on the matter on Thursday and 37,000 employees will get 100,000 won worth of gift certificates each. The country’s second biggest automaker said the idea is to help regional communities and help revitalize traditional markets.
Kia’s affiliate Hyundai Motor distributed 5.7 billion won worth of gift certificates to its employees recently, Hyundai said on Jan. 11.
Separately, Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, Hyundai Mobis and Hyundai Steel said they would distribute 700 million won of gift certificates to social welfare organizations and low-income households.
