Bianca Gavrilas models a hand-embroidered cape made from the silk of the female golden orb-weaver spider during a press preview in the Medieval and Renaissance Gallery at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London on Monday. The cape is one of two spider silk textiles that exist in the world. The cape is made from the silk of more than one million spiders. It has taken nearly eight years to make the two items. [AFP]
