Hynix CEO staying put until 2013 despite SK takeover
Kwon Oh-chul, who has been the chief executive of Hynix Semiconductor since 2010, will stay in his position until next year, and Executive Vice President Park Sung-wook will keep his role until 2015.SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won was also named as a board member of the company.
The decisions were made at a recent meeting of the semiconductor manufacturer’s board of directors. A final approval will be made during a shareholders’ meeting on Feb. 13.
