Ki scores 6th of SPL season at Hibs

Celtic FC midfielder Ki Sung-yueng scored his sixth goal in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday, contributing to his team’s 5-0 victory against Hibernian.

At Easter Road in Edinburgh, Ki came on as a substitute in the 55th minute and scored the team’s fifth goal, instinctively finishing from Kris Commons’ pass into his path in the 77th minute.

With the victory, Celtic has an almost unassailable 17-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League after rivals Rangers were deducted 10 points for going into administration because of financial problems.

Ki, 23, hasn’t found the back of the net since scoring against St. Johnston on December 18th last year. The goal is his seventh in all competitions after he scored against Udinese in the UEFA Europa League.

Meanwhile, in the Dutch Eredivisie, FC Groningen striker Suk Hyun-jin scored twice against league leader PSV Eindhoven to help his team to a 3-0 victory. The 20-year-old, who had his first league start of the season, has four goals in seven league games.
