Four Korean women in business make Forbes list

Four Korean entrepreneurs are on the Forbes Asia list of 50 top Asian businesswomen in the magazine’s March 12 issue.

The four women are Romi Haan of Haan Corp., Hyun Jeong-eun of Hyundai Group, Kim Sung-joo of Sungjoo Group and MCM Holdings AG and Lee Mi-kyung of CJ Entertainment & Media.

“Although the role of women in Asia-Pacific’s economy is growing, most of these honorees still have had to overcome significant barriers to get where they are today,” the Forbes article said.

China has the largest number of businesswomen on the list with 21, followed by India with eight and Singapore with five.
